Hazelnut Harvester Willamette Valley Oregon

Operator station – The various operations are all controlled by the operator with most of the important operations located on an easy-to-use joystick.

Pick Up – Suitable for various types of Hazelnuts, this machine is fitted with an automatic cleaning device and will work in the most difficult conditions.

Header inspection window – This allows for facilitating servicing and cleaning operations.

3-Wheel Drive – With hydraulic differential lock, this allows for a very short turning radius and provides excellent traction on all types of Hazelnut orchard terrain.

Reduced height – A low height makes the machine easy to use in lower hazelnut orchards.

Low profile wide tires – A great balance of traction and low ground impact, caters to working on very soft terrain commonly found in many Hazelnut orchards.

Gathering brushes – With an automatic height adjustment, the brushes work very effectively on uneven terrain. A third brush is optional on some models.

Rear fan – This unique design offers additional cleaning not found on other machines. A speed adjustment allows for very fine tuning; perfect for separating the Hazelnut from lighter objects, such as leaves, grass, and twigs.

Side Fan – An electro-hydraulically controlled fan can be used for blowing fruit between the rows.

Nut cart – Optional nut cart allows the harvester to be used in a similar manner to conventional harvesters. Comes with rear discharge.

In Oregon, Hazelnuts are grown in the Willamette Valley and harvested annually in mid-autumn. Currently, 99% of the U.S. hazelnut crop is produced in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. The Oregon hazelnut crop represents between 3 5% of the world hazelnut crop. As autumn comes to a close, the Hazelnut trees drop their nuts and leaves. Most Hazelnut commercial growers wait for the Hazelnut nuts to drop on their own, rather than using equipment to shake them from the tree. The commercial harvesting of hazelnuts is performed by mechanical raking of fallen nuts.

The DeCloet Hazelnut harvester has the Doosan tier4 turbocharged diesel engine, the most powerful engine offered in a Hazelnut harvester.

The DeCloet Harvester has a three-wheel hydrostatic drive with an on-the-fly hydraulic differential lock. This is the best system available for difficult orchard terrain.

The DeCloet Hazelnut harvester has been specifically designed for the Willamette Valley hazelnut orchards and allows you to sweep and harvest with one trip through the field. This is a huge time and equipment savings.
